Music in the Galleries
Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art
ongoing
Music in the Galleries is an ongoing concert series activating gallery spaces across the museum with live performances by regional musicians. Performances are often organized in conjunction with special exhibitions or in dialogue with artwork in the Wadsworth's permanent collection. The concerts present music from a wide range of time periods, musical genres, and cultures, building on the Wadsworth's encyclopedic approach to collecting and exhibiting works of art.
The Music in the Galleries series is presented with support from the Saunders Foundation Endowment for Music and the Joseph and Robert Cornell Memorial Foundation Fund at the Wadsworth Atheneum.
